TruthFinders FAQ's

Playing the Game

What is the ideal age range for this game?
Preferably people over 12 years of age. If a child is younger than this but knows the New Testament well for their age, then they should be able to play. You would probably want to set the difficulty level to "Beginner" for them.

How many questions are there per game?
Twenty - unless 2 or more players have a tie game. Then, they'll have ten more questions to break the tie. Whoever breaks the tie wins.

How many players can play at the same time?
One, two, or three. You can also have 1-3 teams so that many people can play at the same time.

Is there a time limit for each question?
Yes - 25 seconds is the default, but you can set it anywhere between 15 and 50 seconds. Most people can answer most of the questions in 20 seconds or less, but feel free to add more time if you want to. The time limit is there to keep the game moving, and to prevent players from looking up the correct answer in the Bible while they are playing - which of course would be cheating!

What is the format of the questions in the game?
Most (89%) of the questions are multiple choice - you just click the selection on the screen to answer.
There are also a few True/False questions.

If I missed some questions in the game, how will I know what the correct answer was?
Two ways. In the multiple choice questions, the correct answer along with its Biblical reference will appear in bold print if you did not click on it and picked the wrong answer.

At the end of the game you can view all of the questions that you missed along with their Biblical references. You can even print out a report that shows the questions that you missed along with their Biblical references. There is space on the report for you to write in the correct answer from the Bible if you want to.

Is this really the most comprehensive New Testament "trivia" game for the personal computer?
Yes! Other games cover the entire Bible, and they usually have around 1,000 questions. The games that cover only the New Testament usually have less questions than that, and/or they have theoretical questions that depend on someone's theological interpretation of the Bible.

TruthFinders covers only the New Testament, but it has over 1,350 questions. If you play TruthFinders long enough, you'll see questions from every chapter in the New Testament. Even more than that, there are an average of 5 questions derived from every chapter of the New Testament. This makes TruthFinders extremely thorough and comprehensive.
Plus, all of the questions are factual and not theoretical. You can look up each question in the Bible for yourself and see the correct answer.

System Requirements

TruthFinders has been tested on Windows Vista, XP, Me, and 98(2nd Ed.). If you have Windows 2000 the game will probably work, but you should consider upgrading to the current version of Windows.

System Requirements:

  • Processor speed of 600MHz or better
  • Processor type of Pentium III (or equivalent) or better
  • Windows Media Player, version 9 or greater
  • 64 MB RAM, 128 MB is recommended
  • 40 MB free space on hard disk
  • Internet connection
  • 16-bit or better sound card (optional)
Windows Media Player must be installed prior to installing TruthFinders. This normally comes with Windows, but if you do not have it, you can get it for free here: here.

Scriptural Accuracy

Scriptural accuracy has been the top priority for this game since its inception. All of the questions have specific Biblical references which you can view and/or print. No questions are theoretical. You can open your Bible to the question's reference and see the answer for yourself. All of the questions and the correct answers have been proofread by several ordained ministers.
